As this the artist of these pieces, what was your main objective?

My main objective was to create a recognizable self portrait using words.

What tools did we primarily use for this project?

The primary tools used for this project were the brush preset tool and the color tool.

What were some of the challenges you faced during this project?

A challenge that I faced during this project was having to use a minimum of 6 levels.

One of the requirements of this project was to make a custom paintbrush. How did you accomplish this and what kind of brushes did you make?

I was able to make custom paintbrushes by typing out the word I wanted to make a brush out of, selecting the word, and select "define brush preset" from the edit menu. The type of brushes I made where brushes out of words, such as "NYC" and "horses".

An important requirement for this project was about defining your values.Making sure each value does not blend with the others. There are multiple ways to go about this. How did you accomplish this?

I went about this by selecting a specific color, and selecting "similar" from the select menu. I then filled the selected area with just brushes that matched the color of the selected area.
